After reading this you should be set to write an awesome app! Remember, this is written to help you, not to hinder you. If you want to add more than I have said, feel free to as long as it is within the rules. Reading and following this is totally optional. Even with this, you still might be asked to change things, but hopefully you’ll be better set to get approved quickly with this guide!
GENERAL
Name: Here you should have at least a first and a last name. Your middle name isn’t required, but if you really want one, knock yourself out. When picking a name, consider both the time period and the birthplace of your character. If you have a vampire born in the 18th century in England, you probably won’t see a name like Shane or Dani pop up. It would be something more classical and elegant sounding. Here is also a good place to stick up any nicknames your character goes by. Remember; try to use real names, not ones that just sound cool. This is happening in modern day in this world, not a fantasy land. I like to type in my prospective name into a baby name website and it will give me the origin and definition of the name. You can also do an ‘advanced search’ and find names with specific meanings or origins.

Actual Age: Remember to keep your age realistic to what you want to do. If you are a doctor specializing in something with a masters and everything, you probably won’t be 22. Try to keep your age realistic for your character.
Appeared Age (VAMPIRES AND LYCANS): Since the ancient races are immortal and the procura can live to be very old before aging, this is an essential thing to know about your character.
Lycans: At first a Lycan ages at the same rate of a human. However, after a short period of time varying from lycan to lycan they gain the ability to control their aging. They can choose to halt their aging all together, continue at that of a human or anything in between. very slowly.
Vampires: Ageless immortals. Their bodies are forever frozen and will always appear the age they were when they were changed.
Gender: Straightforward. If you don’t know what gender is, you probably should go find your parents and have a serious talk with them.
Occupation: Keep this realistic. If you have an oddball occupation, you’d better go into detail about why you wanted to go into that in your history. If you are a newly turned vampire, you’d better consider the fact that you won’t be able to function realistically in normal society for a while, especially around blood or humans.
If in a coven or pack, you can just put your status in the group here.
Birthplace: Place you were born. You can be as specific as a full address or as vague as a state/region. Please don’t just put a continent – a little more detail is needed.
Current Location: Can be the same as birthplace. If it is vastly different, such as a different continent or a state on the other side of the U.S., please make sure to mention the reason for this in your history. Remember to keep in mind where the people you want to RP with are located – ‘magic teleporting’ is not allowed. This means that you can’t just appear anywhere you want. You must have a valid and realistic reason for being there (in the real world traveling across continents would mean money and passports)
Family Relations: Mother and Father at least – just tell us if they are alive and kicking or dead. No need to make up names if you don’t want to
Weapon: This must be an actual weapon, not just ‘teeth and claws’. Swords, guns, brass knuckles, whatever. If it is an unusual/original weapon, please describe it. Keep in mind the fact that this is a modern day board – if you cart around a sword you’d better have a good explanation for it.
Other Items Owned: This would be something your character has on them at all times. A backpack, a necklace – anything noticeable. Things that everyone would have – sunglasses, clothes, etc – aren’t necessary to list unless they have a special significance to your character.
BACKGROUND
Level: If you have read the race description, you will know what this means. You can either copy-paste the description given into this section or elaborate in your own words.
Personality: This section should be at least two good sized paragraphs. By good sized I mean at least 7 proper sentences. A good way to separate them to make them easier to read and write is to write one paragraph about your actual personality – the way your character thinks and sees the world, their attitude towards people, if they have any personality disorders, etc. Your second paragraph can be about how they interact with society. Are they withdrawn or social? Do they enjoy the company of some people and not others? Think of as many things relating to personality as possible.
Fears: There should be at least 3 things in this section. Please try to make these things original to your character. List phobias or unique fears. Listing things such as ‘death’ will not be accepted considering that most people do not exactly look forward to death. You can elaborate on your fear – it doesn’t need to be limited to one or two words. If you do so, please note them in bullet points or dashes for easier reading.
Strengths: There should be at least 3 things in this sections. ‘Being a lycan’ or ‘being a vampire’ will not be accepted as a strength. It is a given thing and far too vague. These sections are for you to elaborate on the finer points of your character. Listing any special training is a good start, just be sure to mention it in your history as well. You can elaborate on your strengths as much as you want, just be sure to designate them with bullet points or slashes for easier reading.
Weaknesses: There should be at least 3 things in this section. Listing things such as ‘silver’ will not be accepted as one of the three. If you are a lycan or vampire that is an understood and given thing. List any allergies your character may have as well as inability to do things. Try to be original, as always, and designate any long descriptions with bullet points or slashes for easy reading.
Likes: There should be at least 3 things in this section. If you are a vampire, listing ‘blood’ as a like will not be accepted. List any music types, hobbies, etc. If going into detail with your likes, please designate them with bullet points or slashes for easier reading.
Dislikes: There should be at least 3 things in this section. Listing things like ‘sunlight’ (if you are a vampire) or ‘silver’ (if you are a lycan) will not be accepted as one of the three. Be original and list things like pet peeves and such. If going into detail with your dislikes, please separate them with bullet points or slashes to make it easier to read.
Detailed History: The world ‘detailed’ is in there for a reason. Please make this at least 3 long paragraphs. The first paragraph typically covers your character’s childhood. Try to be original – most people’s parents don’t die/get killed so much in the real world. Attempt to make your character as original as you can. Your bio is the best way to do that. Your childhood will have a great impact on your character’s life. If your parents died, you wouldn’t be a happy-go-lucky person. The death of your parents would leave a great emotional scar on you. Be realistic here, please. Describe any siblings, important childhood events, and anything else that will flesh your character out. Don’t stick random sentences in your history just to fill up space.
If you are a vampire or lycan, please spend at least a paragraph describing your turning. Read over the ‘lycan description’ and ‘vampire description’ to get an idea of how this happens. I wrote up the descriptions myself, so I will know if you haven’t read them properly. Make sure to cover all your bases – describe what happened to the one who turned you (if they aren’t a part of your life or an existing character). Also keep in mind that vampires and lycans both have no control when they first start out.
Describe at the end your life now. Where you live, what you do, etc. The history, more than any other section of the application, is the best place to put detail. If you are going to be a part of a pack or be joining someone (i.e. best friend, family member) be sure the person in question knows you are saying that in your bio. Although you may think from reading their bio and stuff that you know them, people can get very possessive about their characters. Don’t ever assume something without knowing firsthand from the person in question. If you have an existing character mentioned a lot in your history and the rest of your application, I will make sure to check with the person playing the character to make sure you have contacted them.
APPEARANCE
Facial Appearance: This would be an ideal place to put a picture of some kind. CC’s (character claims) are not required, but be aware that if you don’t have a picture I’ll expect this section to be a lot longer. Describe hair – color, length, style, thick or wavy, etc. Include eye color and skin color as well. This would be a good place to mention unique things like freckles or certain expressions your character often has. Does your character walk around with a constant smirk on their face? Make sure to mention this.
Clothing: Even if you have a picture, be sure to detail what clothing your character usually wears. Are they dressier or do they prefer jeans and t-shirts? These would be good things to mention here.
Build: If you have a picture with a full body shot, this section can be shorter. If you don’t I’ll expect a fair amount of detail here. Describe your character’s height. Describe the way they are built – are they willowy or stout? Muscular or pudgy? Does your character have very long legs? Mention this.
Wolf Form: (LYCANS) Here, if you are a lycan, you should describe your wolf form. Remember, there are two forms you can take: regular wolf form and two legged form. Describe height in two legged form as well as build. Please include fur color, eye color, and any interesting marks. Remember: you will inherit the color of the wolf who bit you, either streaks of the color or the full coat. You can put a picture of your wolf here as well.
Marks/Scars: Mention any tattoos, scars, marks, etc. You don’t need to mention every mole on your body – just the important ones that add to your character.
