Looking to Pablo as he tried once more to pronounce the word she'd used, Adele smiled softly, amused, stepping around the boy to continue walking beside him through the forest.
His sudden outburst of questions stopped the girl in her tracks and she brought her hands up, almost defensively. Pablo spoke quickly, excitedly; and though she could see the kid smiling, it took a moment for Adele to realize he wasn't angry with her. Slowly, the blonde relaxed, stuffing her hands in the pockets of her hoodie while trying to decipher the questions he'd asked.
In the moment it took for Adele to slow down and think about the words Pablo used, the boy's grin had faded. She'd been staring at a fixed point on the forest floor while trying to make sure she'd translated his excited English properly when Pablo blurted out the fate of his parents, before clasping his hands over his mouth. Without realizing it, the girl began chewing on her lip again; she didn't know what to say. Looking over to the boy as walked quietly, now, Adele frowned. "I... I am sorry to hear."
Bringing a hand up idly to scratch the back of her neck, she shrugged to herself as they continued to step over fallen branches. "I don't really know how I became ze... The wolf without the full moon." The toe of her shoe caught briefly on a root, and the girl stumbled foreword slightly. Regaining her balance, she brought her foot up, holding her toe briefly, embarrassed, before walking quickly to catch up with the boy again.
"But, it vas the night after the full moon..." Adele frowned a little, looking anywhere other than at Pablo. "Perrin was dead a night. I was still in Greece, in his villa. Then, I remember hearing voices calling out; like they knew Lycans lived there. Taunting me. I went out to see who would desecrate Perrin's memory; and there were three of them. Vampires. Though I... I didn't really know what they were when it happened." Again, Adele looked slightly embarrassed, but she continued. "I vas so... angry. I think I shouted something to them. And then I felt the Change. But I don't remember much after. Only that I woke feeling a deep pain. There was another Lycan with me when I woke; he said he knew Perrin well..."
Adele stopped walking for a moment and looked around. Trees surrounded them on every side. For the first time since Pablo had let slip about his parents' murder, the girl looked at the young Werewolf with her, "There is no pond this way, is there? You're lost. Aren't you."
