Other Items Owned: An old gold necklace and a large steel ring that had originally belonged to Raven Lestat.
BACKGROUND
Personality: Outspoken and strong. She will defend her beliefs and family even in the face of adversity. Very devoted to her family and loved ones, and is not quick to trust the words of others, which has led her often to lying about things such as her name and parents. Wild and fearless; she likes playing jokes, even on her enemies. She doesn’t have any patience for ignorance, and can come across as cruel to insolent people. (subject to change)
Detailed History: Lucia was conceived during one of the many violent clashes between the warring leaders of the Vampire and Werewolf races and born in an undisclosed location. Her mother, Alena Wulf, gave Lucia three names to reflect her diverse parentage in the style of ancient Rome. For the first years of her life, the Hybrid spent every waking moment with her mother or one of her mother's trusted pack-mates, which was often in Sweden. One of Lucia's earliest memories is of her mother reciting stories known as Grimm's Fairy Tales as she lay down for sleep.
A Hybrid in a home of Werewolves was troublesome, however, because the girl was unable to venture outside or in rooms where the sun shown through during the days, and much of her time at the Den was spent in the basement, secluded from the other occupants. It was also the wish of her parents for Lucia to know them both, though the war between their races had raged for many centuries at the time of her birth, and so before her 6th birthday, Lucia was taken to the United Kingdom to live with her father, Raven, in his castle of Vampires. Most of the memories Lucia has of her younger days are of being raised and taught by her father, and so it isn't surprising that she considers herself a Daddy's Girl. During her time with Raven she was passed off successfully as just another Vampire, and met many of her father's high lords and commanders, including Victor Van Alberict and Dane. While Victor was respectful, he was often cold toward the young Lucia; but her father's friend Dane always treated her with kindness, and Lucia considered him her favorite of Raven's following.
One night when Lucia was 11, Victor returned to the castle, wounded and alone among the group he'd left with. Anger and confusion filled the mansion. Lucia could feel her father's temper rise and her curiosity made her want to hide nearby to see what was going to happen, but something pulled her away. A strange, wild calling was scratching at her mind, and vague memories of her mother. Lucia wandered out to the garden that night and was apprehended by Szandor Colden who told her Alena had sent him to retrieve her, that she might be in danger. Later Lucia learned of the Vampire attack on the Wolf Den and that Alena anticipated a response attack at the Vampire base. It was the night after Lucia left the UK that Raven was betrayed and murder at the hands of Victor. For a long time she blamed Szandor for taking her away, thinking that there could have been something she could have done to save her father.
In the years that followed, Lucia has spent her time mainly around Werewolves, re-accustoming herself with their life and even agreeing to help establish a Den in Rome, Italy for her mother. She hasn't spent much time at the Den in Sweden, and isn't familiar with the Werewolves who took back Rome, but has agreed to help for the bigger goal: to revenge her father's murder.
Fears: Szandor and/or Alena dying. Being used to harm her family.
Strengths: She is the daughter of the King and Master of Vampires as well as the Mother of Lycanthropy. Lucia got the best of both the Vampire and Lycan races. Is also a convincing liar. Can play the piano and is teaching herself the organ.
Weaknesses: Sunlight, silver. Can be a bit arrogant. Hasn't stayed living in one place long, and has had to lie about her identity to many individuals: she does not have many friends, and none she can consider close, except for Szandor.
Likes: Alena and Szandor. Running in her Hybrid form on full moons. Sleeping, and reading the fortunes inside fortune cookies. Playing with her food. The color purple, classical music and raw meat.
Dislikes: Light of any kind, waiting in line, being treated like a child; getting awoken from a nice dream. Wearing shoes or socks. Victor Van Alberict. Holy Christian symbols and references (she is the daughter of a spawn of Satan Himself).
APPEARANCE
Facial Appearance: (See avi and sig.) Long, brown hair. Soft amber/red eyes, full lips. Pale skin.
Clothing: Whatever is lying around. Sometimes tight jeans, and loose black shirts. Prefers loose summer dresses and leggings.
Build: Lean frame, agile and flexible. Around 5 feet, 6 inches tall.
Marks/Scars: None. She was born Hybrid and has not been hurt bad enough for any scars to remain.
Role play Sample: So this had been the castle of her father? It looked like the old medieval castles she’d seen in history books; broad stone wall and high towers that looked menacingly down at the earth as if questioning its worthiness. There was no doubt that this mansion had been the center of much activity in the past, but now it seemed rather void of life and worn down. Even more uninviting, but perhaps less threatening than it had been in its prime.
Lucia’s eyes wandered eagerly around the main room, and she turned slowly, absorbing every last detail and carving it into her memory. The simple majesty of the place took the breath away from her, and implanted a feeling of longing. This sense that she’d been here before; this had been a place she loved; that she could look back on with affection.
She didn’t know what had happened here; why Victor van Alberict had betrayed his master Raven. Or why there was conflict between the Vampires and Werewolves if her parents had been so in love. So many things she did not know about the life of Raven, and much more about the goings-on of her mother. There were many things about her parents that Lucia did not know. But she knew that both of them had been powerful and leaders of their respective races, both had been feared, respected and even hated, and they’d led their armies for centuries into war against the other.
Moving further into the main room and down an elegant corridor, Lucia walked slowly in respectful admiration and awe.
From further down the hall, the melancholy notes of a piano floated toward the Hybrid, as if carried by a soft wind and giving life to the dark corridor. The music that came forth was so enchanting, the hair on the back of her neck rose and it sent goose bumps down her spine and arms; somewhat reflecting the feel the place was giving her. Her aimless wandering turned into an unwavering trance to find the source of this haunting call.
Ascending the staircase, the music became louder, and with it grew the desire to see who was behind this emotional madness procured by the sonata. Without knocking, Lucia entered the room of the ghost playing and stood inside the door, her head tilted slightly as she listened for a moment. Coming out of the slight trance, she spoke, “Are you alone in this castle?”
