BACKGROUND
Personality: Alexei holds a strong sense of family. Anyone that earns his trust and respect will be as a brother or sister to Alexei. He is extremely loyal. Very protective of those close to him.
Detailed History: The year was 1930. Alexei was 6 years old. On october 4th of that year a strange man appeared at the door asking for a place to stay. This man was a greek by the name of Alcaeus Artemisios. Later in his life Alexei had laughed at the meaning of the name (strength of artemis) and realized that the name was seemingly ancient and didn't fit in this modern world. During the first week that Alcaeus was staying with them Alexei noticed a change in his father, Dr. Vladimir Vilkov, he seemed to have lost alot of sleep. Then, something absolutely insane happened.
It was a full moon that night and the sky was totally clear. Alcaeus had been staying with the family for 3 weeks now. He could hear his father screaming down in the lab. It sounded like the screams were so horrible. He could also hear growls and snarls coming from down there. Alexei leapt out of bed and ran down the hall. He cracked open the door to his father's lab. He crept down a few stairs and saw his father shaking in fear in the corner looking like he had seen a ghost. Alexei crept a few more stairs down, and then he saw it. A giant wolf was standing opposite his father. It was twice the size of a usual wolf had ash gray hair, and glowing red eyes. There was also a black crescent moon shape on the back of the beast. Alexei ran back upstairs and fell back into bed. He threw the covers over his head, and tried to wake up from his nightmare.
The next morning Dr. Vilkov explained to his family about Alcaeus, and his strange "condition". The family was terrified, but Dr. Vilkov explained that he would not harm them unless they gave him reason. This made the Petro and Alexei calm down. They were just boys after all and they were excited to have a new member of the family. Alexei allowed himself to laugh a little at the thought of Alcaeus being a puppy for the family.

Eleven years later. The year is 1941. Alexei is now 17 years old. World War II is starting to get into full swing in Europe. Until now Russia had been on the side of the Third Reich. Hitler had made a terrible decision to drive his eastern front into Russian territory. The Premier of the USSR Joseph Stalin started putting together an army to fight back. Alexei's older brother Petro answered the call to arms immediately. He traveled to Moscow to train leaving Alexei, Alcaeus, and his parents in Minsk. Alexei was devestated that his brother had left, and worried constantly. Then one morning he woke up to gun fire. He could hear women and children crying and screaming in the streets. He ran to his fathers room. But his father wasn't there. Alexei ran to the parlor. He found his father and Alcaeus in this room arguing about what to do. Vladimir wanted to stay inside be safe, but Alcaeus wanted to go out and protect the townspeople.
Well they were not given a choice in what to do. At that exact moment a German soldier burst in through the door and began shouting in German at the three men. Alexei could not understand a word. His father replied to the soldier, but before he finished his sentence the soldier fired three rapid shots into the doctor. Dr. Vilkov was dead before he hit the floor. Alexei screamed in rage and went to charge the soldier, but before he could Alcaeus had already unnatrually fast ran foward and snaped the soldiers neck. He looked at Alexei and tossed him a gun. Then he said, "Gather any weapons you may have here, Alexei. We have work to do."
Alexei and Alcaeus ran into the streets and together through the whole day they picked off Nazi soldiers until the city was clear of the invading forces. Alexei and Alcaeus returned to the house and found Alexei's mother Heidi dead on the floor with a luger in her right hand. She had killed herself with the horror of finding her husband dead and her youngest son supposedly missing. Alexei held back his tears and looked to Alcaeus. Alcaeus looked at the poor boy and said, "You must be strong Alexei. Come now. We must join your brother."
And that they did. Alcaeus and Alexei met with Petro in Poland. And together they fought their way through the German lines to Berlin. By the time they were outside the city it was April 20th, 1945. Alcaeus had to leave and carry out some mission on his own. So he took off into the night in shape of his wolf form. Alexei and Petro went to gather firewood for their camp. While they were out in the woods roughly a half mile from the camp they heard a crunch and then a deep snarl. "Alcaeus?" called out Petro into the night assuming their comrade had returned. Alexei looked into the darkness then suddenly from behind a black haired wolf life humanoid leapt out of the shadows and tackled Alexei to the ground. The monster bit down hard on Alexei. But before the monster could kill him Petro shot the beast. The creature then turned on Petro and the last Alexei saw before blacking out what his brother being torn to shreds, and then the beast turning into a man.
Alexei awoke in a home. He could not hear the usual sounds of war that he had grown accustomed to. He sat up and looked around. Sitting next to him was the man who had transformed from the beast that had attacked Alexei and Petro. Alexei panicked and attempted to attack the man but realized he was strapped down. "I am sorry for this treatment, comrade." said the stranger. "My name is Gregovich. That is all you need to know. Now I know what you must think of me, and you may exact your revenge as necessary once I get the chance to explain what has happened."
And so it became that Gregovich explained the process of becoming a lycan. How Alexei had been infected by the bite. How Gregovich had lost control in rage and had killed Petro. Alexei honestly believed Gregovich when he said he was sorry and wished that none of this had happened. They lived and hunted together for many years. There were others with them, but they never stayed long enough for Alexei to make any attachment. Alexei was brought into lycanism with a caring father figure. All the while Alexei kept in contact with Alcaeus through letters. He would have to wait for Alcaeus to write him seeing as Alexei never moved, but Alcaeus never stayed in one place. After 67 years passed Alexei wanted to take a trip to Sweden to meet the Mother. He left Gregovich instruction to forward all mail from Alcaeus to Stockholm, and that Alexei would pick it up there. With that Alexei left for the airport and flew to Stockholm. He would meet the Mother and serve her however she saw fit. Alexei knew his place. He was a soldier. And would always be a soldier.
