The impact with the wall might have shaken Adele more if it weren't for the searing fire stabbing into her shoulder as she barreled on through. As Catherine pulled herself onto the young woman's back, she snarled. The overbearing presence of silver sent hot pain down her back from the area of impact; but it seemed the vampire wasn't done with her attack. Crying out in a pained growl as the vampiress' second blade was plunged into her other shoulder, Adele tried reaching blind to grab at the woman. To the lycan's frustration, Catherine seemed to move away just enough to stay out of reach of her claws.
The woman's voice almost felt like background noise with the screaming fire each silver blade filled her with. Turning her back to the wall, Adele rammed herself backward, slamming the vampire against the wall twice before reaching back once more with both arms. This time, the white werewolf was able to grab ahold of Catherine, and immediately Adele pulled her enemy forward, smashing her into the ground in front of her hard.
"Lying vampire Abschaum!" The lycan growled loud, wasting little time in bringing a paw down upon Catherine. There was no way Adele could believe Pablo had been captured again. This vampire didn't have her friend. He'd been caught once, but her friend was too crafty to be taken unawares a second time.

Despite being slammed into the wall, Catherine maintained her grip on the lycan. That had been a mistake, as Adele’s massive paw gripped the vampire within it, pulling her free, claws tearing into her dress and flesh. She grit her teeth, but still felt and reveled in the thrill of combat. Finally the girl was showing some tact. She tried to pry herself free, but Adele was too strong and quick. Slamming the vampire downwards, Catherine braced herself for the impact. Hitting the floor hard, the foundation of the mansion shaking, the impact would have killed most vampires, for the others likely shatter their spines, but she was an elder, made of heartier stock.
Adele’s angry voice entering Catherine’s mind again, made the vampire smile, even as the lycan brought down her paw again. The vampire’s hand moved in a blur. Sliding between her legs and underneath her dress. Procuring a third silver knife, though smaller than the others, she held it between herself and the lycan’s descended claw. The beast howled out in pain and recoiled as Catherine thrust the knife up into Adele. Lifting her legs quickly, the woman kicked out, slamming her feet into the recoiling lycan, launching her back into the hall. She jumped onto her feet, throwing the knife after Adele, before following herself. The vampire lunged onto the fallen’s lycan’s torso, slamming her fist into the beast. “What is that now, a half hour?” She said, grabbing the hilt of a dagger in Adele’s shoulder and twisting it. “Shift down, Addy, spare you both some pain. After everything, he’ll still be happy to see you, he misses you.” A desperate swipe from the lycan struck Catherine on the side, knocking her aside. The vampire quickly jumped to her feet, and smiled at Adele. The lycan didn’t have the strength to follow up her own attack. “You should have stayed with him, that night, in the cave.” Catherine said, striding forward, stopping before the lycan. “I know, he told you to leave, but couldn’t you tell, how much he wanted you to stay? You left him alone, Addy, vulnerable.”

Sinking her claws into this vampire's vile flesh satisfied something primal in Adele. It was enough to help the young lycan forget briefly about the silver blades lodged in her shoulders. Her anger and hate exulted as the wolf slammed Catherine hard into the floor, and as her paw came down to follow up that attack, the girl watched eagerly. Yet as piercing fire surged through her paw as it descended, Adele recoiled, pulling her hand away and stepping back. With the vampire's kick, the white werewolf found herself quickly stumbling back into the hallway.
Losing her balance as Catherine charged forth, Adele found herself quickly on her arse as the vampire pounced on top of her. Even this vampire's bare fists felt nearly comparable to some of her fights with Damien during their first years here. Snarling viciously as Catherine spoke, twisting a silver blade in her shoulder, Adele swung heavily to throw the vampire off her.
It took more of an effort to get to her feet than Adele would have liked; her body hurt. But she wasn't going to back down; so long as she could move, this vampire, and any other that crossed her path, would pay. Pablo would be alright, she would see to that.
"You should have stayed with him, that night, in the cave."
Adele had taken a painful step forward, bracing herself momentarily before she planned to charge Catherine again; but the vampire's words sent a shock of terror into her heart, and the lycan stopped. -What did... What did she just say?- The softest whimper escaped the young woman's throat as Catherine spoke again, stepping closer. Adele's vision blurred, something wet stinging the corners of her eyes, and the giant wolf fell hard to a knee. She'd never wanted to leave Pablo, even though he'd pushed her away and his words had felt so cold, she'd wanted to stay with her friend. To help him figure things out; to fix the mess they'd been thrown into. But he'd been so adamant that she stay away, because he didn't want to risk hurting her as well... And she'd believed she could help by gathering the strength of the lycans to rescue Pablo and Alena... That had turned out so well.
Meeting the vampire's eyes with anger, Adele reached back to grab one of the knives still lodged in her shoulder blade, and began pulling at it desperately as she shifted down to her human skin. The placement of the knife did not allow for the blonde to easily pull it straight out; instead Adele had to pull up and out, cutting further into herself as she removed the silver. She screamed, loud, as she managed to work the blade out, finally tossing it to the ground. One silver dagger still remained buried in her back.
Goosebumps covered the young woman's body, and she shivered, falling forward onto her hands, long blonde hair falling over her face. Tears streamed down her cheeks; the pain in her heart felt almost as intense as the damage she'd taken the last few nights. When she spoke, her voice was quite, and sounded defeated, "Tell me he's ok."

A smile appeared on Catherine’s lips as she stood before Adele, straight back, eagerly watching as the lycan whimpered softly, before falling to a knee. It was exactly as she wanted. As Adele slumped further to the ground, the vampire took a step closer to the beast, anticipating the moment she shifted. Meeting Adele’s angry gaze widened her smile. So much anger, all for naught. Before the vampire could word further encouragement the lycan began to don her human form. “Good girl.” She said, but as Adele began to remove a blade lodged in her shoulder, Catherine stepped forward. “Now, now, allow me, my dear.” There was a hint of concern in her voice, as the beast further impaled herself. However, the scintillating scent of her blood gave the vampire pause. Flattening her tattered dress, she licked her lips as Adele fell to her human form, slumped at Catherine’s feet.
Adele’s scent was intoxicating, her soft whimper music to her ears, after the lycan had showed so much rage, it was utterly satisfying, Catherine found herself sighing softly. The girl was a pretty little thing, just as Pablo had said. Kneeling to the girl’s level, Catherine’s voice was sweet, and kind. “Addy,” She said, lifting the lycan’s chin to look her in the eyes. She was crying. The girl were her emotions on her sleeve, she would be so much fun to play with. “He’s alive and well.” The vampire, brushed Adele’s hair behind her shoulder. “You fought so well, my dear. Pablo will be so proud.” She closed her eyes, Adele’s scent, the warmth radiating off the girl. Even in her battered state, Adele was quite lovely, her lips tempting. Slipping her hand’s underneath, the girl’s arms, helping her rise as Catherine stood. She held the girl a foot away, though as it was clear that Adele could not stand on her own feet, she pulled the lycan close. “Adele,” She whispered, as a wave of heat hit the vampire. The proximity made her shiver. Leaning down, she sighed into the lycan’s hear. “You’ll see him soon, I promise.” She strayed a hand to the dagger still lodged in the lycan. Pulling it free as gently as possible, again intaking Adele’s sweet scent. A taste now, couldn’t hurt, Adele needed to be incapacitated as it was. One of Catherine’s hands slid down to the lycan’s hip, holding her suggestively, as Catherine bowed her head by the open wound. Flicking her tongue out just for a taste, and then another. Her blood was sweet, like Pablo’s a far cry of what she tasted that night, the taste alone was electrifying. Catherine’s eyes flashed red, and she met Adele’s gaze one last time. Grabbing Adele by the back of the head, Catherine pulled the lycan up, and against her body. Cranning Adele’s head to the side, Catherine plunged her fangs between her throat and the open wound. Squeezing the lycan tighter as blood first graced her tongue. Her heat, the proximity wasn’t enough. Stumbling forward, gripping Adele tighter, she pushed the lycan up against the wall, pressing closer.

Her name on Dane's lips brought a wide grin to the girl's face. She believed she'd be able to hear her love call to her no matter what stood in their way. Licking her lips as she stepped closer to Dane and his offering, the girl's crimson gaze settled on the subdued werewolf. His fear was palpable, and his warmth, invigorating.
Bringing her lips to the lycan's neck, Lucia pierced his skin with her fangs. She drank greedily, one arm wrapping around the man's waist, until she and Dane had drained their victim completely. Pulling her teeth free from the lycan's husk, her gaze fell upon Dane's lips, glistening red in the night.
As the werewolf's body crumpled to the roof, and Dane pulled her in close, Lucia squealed with delight, kissing him passionately. Her crimson eyes remained fixed on the vampire, until he motioned to the mayhem around them. All for her? Gunfire in the near distance rang into the night, and multiple voices barked orders while others cried out in agony. The hybrid shivered slightly in Dane's arms, her smile wide. "I expect nothing less, my love." As their lips met once more, the girl found herself leaning in, closer to the vampire, a hand resting upon his chest.
The sounds of conflict around her only seemed to fuel the girl's excitement; she wanted to bask under her love's affection, especially after being denied it earlier that night. Yet a voice belonging to someone else entering her mind, quickly brought the hybrid's attention elsewhere.
"Lucia, please." Evelyn reached out mentally to the girl. "You don't need to do this. End this madness now, before it's too late."
Pulling away from the kiss, Lucia grit her teeth, closing her eyes shut tight for a moment. One hand remained on Dane's chest, but she cast her face away, frustrated with the mental intrusion.
"Stop this assault, now, before more lives are lost--"
"Let's finish what we--" Lucia cut herself off as Evelyn continued speaking to her mind.
"You can still salvage this. Your mother will understand if---"
The hand resting on Dane's chest curled into a tight fist, but Lucia remained otherwise unmoving for a moment. Finally opening her eyes, the hybrid looked up at her lover, "We need to take out more of their numbers; give them incentive to accept our terms. Go. I will see you shortly."
Watching her lover jump back into the fray, Lucia drew her father's sword, stepping to the edge of the roof before diving into the closest mass of fur she saw.

Her head pounded hatefully, throbbing in pain. Tears blurred her vision, and Adele found herself trying to steady her breathing in an attempt to manage the fire seething through her fresh wounds. She'd fucked up again. This vampire was strong, but the thought that she hadn't been able to handle this one, lone vampire ate at the young woman. How did she think she was going to burst into a hive of these creatures to try and rescue Pablo and Alena if she couldn't even end one of them in single combat?
As Catherine knelt, reaching out to lift her chin, Adele recoiled, pushing back with her hands to try and back away. Instantly, a wave of near paralyzing pain struck her from the point where the vampiress' remaining dagger was still lodged. Whimpering quietly, she turned her golden gaze up to the woman, a scowl written across her features. "Verpiss dich." Adele's voice was quiet and she spoke through clenched teeth when Catherine mentioned her friend and what he'd be proud of. There was nothing here for Pablo to be proud of, but she prayed the vampire spoke the truth of his well being.
Panic rose in the blonde lycan when Catherine moved to lift Adele to her feet. She tried pushing away from the vampire, but her legs were shaky at best, providing little stability. She didn't like being touched much by her friends, and especially not when she was nude; having one of them so close, the enemy... She felt so vulnerable.
Instead of stepping back to create a distance, Catherine held her tight. Adele found herself pressed uncomfortably close to the vampire. Bringing her arms up to hold across her ribs, it was all the guard the young werewolf could muster in her current state.
Her breath hitched as Catherine reached for the knife still in her shoulder, pulling it carefully out, and she reached out, gripping tight to the vampire's waist as she tried not to tremble as the hot, searing pain hit her. Another quiet whimper escaped, and Adele's already shaky legs tried giving out on her, sending her further into the woman's body. This was hell, wasn't it? She stood before her enemy, naked and defeated, exposed and weak.
When the vampire's hold changed, one of Catherine's arms wrapping itself almost tenderly around her bare waist, Adele tried pulling away again. Her resistance went largely unnoticed. And then she felt the vampire's wet tongue flick across a fresh wound. Adele stood stock still for a moment, turning her head slightly to look at Catherine, as if to confirm she had, in fact, been licked by the enemy. Her suspicion proved to be correct, and the young woman placed her hands on either side of the vampire's hips, pushing desperately.
Adele watched as the woman's eyes turned a deep red, before the vampire extended her fangs and sunk them into her hurting skin. -What the fuck.- The blonde froze in terror as Catherine held her closer, tighter, pushing her up against the nearest wall to drink from her. The terror wasn't simply from being used as this undead's juice box, but Adele quickly discovered that moving her limbs at all was all but impossible. She tried bringing her arms up, but instead they brushed lightly against the vampire's body. Her legs dangled uselessly against Catherine's skin. She groaned quietly; was this how she died?

Okello barreled through the door to the great hall, girl shielded in his arms. Smiling at the child, he placed her down gently. “You’ll be safe here.” He said, patting her arm, and kissing her on the forehead, before quickly turning. Gritting his teeth as he entered the foyer, two of his comrades was carrying a fallen third in their arms down stairs to the basement below. Unpleasant thoughts and memories entered his mind. The very people he was fighting with had done that to him. It was almost enough to make him wonder, why he was here. A fiery anger resonating from above was enough reminder. This was still home to their pack, Pablo’s pack; they simply shared it with the others; and right now it seemed Adele needed him.
Though the stairs and the halls to the mansion were wide enough to maneuver for most lycan, Okello remained in his human form. Sharp corners were all the much easier. And Adele, she seethed with anger, he could feel his fellow’s packmate energy. The connection, it was admittedly more common with the other member’s of his pack. What could have Addy so worked up? Gritting his teeth again, he made it up to the final step and rounded the corner, and stopped. Adele was locked in battle with a vampire, the bat had it’s back to the wall, Addy charging at her. The fight was done, the sheer size of his friend, the narrow space in the hall, but as the lycan snapped her teeth, the target was gone.
Okello froze. He’d fought vampires before, fast ones, that he could barely get a hit on. But, that, the way it moved, that was a monster, how could they fight that? One instant it was before Adele, the next it was on her back, silver daggers plunged into his friend’s shoulder, he watched as they barreled into the next room. Adele needed him, but how could he… Okello glanced down both ways of the hall. It was just him, nobody else who could even help. The moment felt all too familiar. Frozen in place, he could smell fire somewhere in the distance, Adele let out a cry, family crying out. He shook his head. One way or the other, he was dead. If Adele fell, that thing was coming after them next. What would his sire do? Gunfire ran out in the distance. It was far too familiar. He remembered when the sound of gunfire was frightening. Admittedly it still was. Pablo had tried to teach him, weapons, they were the great equalizer, he’d said, how he and Xhel could fight them. How they hunted elders he claimed. The thought was not halfway finished before he was running towards Pablo’s room, barreling through his door. They had certainly searched his room after being branded a traitor, but his sire was tactful, somewhere he had a hidden weapon or two. Gazing at the panel floor, he slammed his feet, kicking into the wood, until he found it, a hidden compartment. A single desert eagle, trimmed in gold, the letters U and V carved into the sides. It seemed like a little much.
By the time he was in the hall again, so were they. Adele was on her knees, the vampire approaching her, speaking softly, almost sweetly. What the hell? It was goading Adele to shift. It wanted to take her. She would never, he thought wrong. ADDY! What are you doing! He leveled the gun, but that thing, it was holding her. Too close for comfort, he couldn’t take the shot, too risky. The thought of hitting Addy. It wasn’t hurting her yet, but- it bit her. Lifting the lycan into her arms, and plunging her fangs into her shoulder. It didn’t quite look like that from where he stood, but he knew. What the hell was he doing, it was killing her. He could not abandon his family again. Sights between the eyes, he narrowed his vision on the vampire, and pulled the trigger. The monster let out a shrieking cry as the bullet caught that back of her leg.

Dane eagerly returned Lucia’s affection, indulging on the sweet remnants of blood left on her lips. He wrapped an arm tight around her waist, pulling her closer. There was a pleasing amount of warmth to her, more so than usual, and though not quite that of a lycan’s it was startling. If she fed on another, perhaps two, how would she feel? Perhaps he would know by the end of the night. It was almost disappointing the moment she pulled away. Another time then, her lips had a distinct softness to them. “Lucia, I intend to indulge on the lycan, while they are still our enemy.” He winked at the hybrid. “Find me.” He said before turning away, and casually dropping off to the roof. His hand reaching for his dagger. Below him a brawl between the two forces.
He moved in a blur, too quick for most of the enemy to keep track, even his own forces were not always aware of Dane’s presence as lycan dropped dead before them, the only sign of his presence an open wound among their throats. After carving a path for his soldiers, he scanned the battlefield. The glint of a silver blade, Lucia. As she began to run towards her next target, Dane joined besides her. Taking her hand in his, slowing down to her speed, he turned and smiled at her. “Together.” He said, again with a wink.
Save for the girl’s lackluster performance in battle Adele was proving to be quit nearly everything Catherine had wanted and more. The way she tried to back away, creating distance between the two. Every bit of resistance sending pleasant waves of heat into Catherine, she held the lycan close. It made her smile. If this amount of contact bothered her, the lycan had no idea what she had coming. Adele’s soft hand wrapping around the vampire’s waist, made her visibly shivered. She could not wait, till they were alone. To feel her warm little fingers sink into her flesh, to break the lycan down in size again, and take her. “There there.” She said softly, as Adele whimpered, leaning into Catherine for support.
Lycan blood had yet to disappoint Catherine, even what she’d taken from the pups unable to defend themselves. However, compared to them, Pablo, and now Adele were delicacies. Rich in energy, sweet in taste, and warm. Adele’s core felt like a fire against Catherine’s. The vampire found herself leaning into the girl, arching slightly. She barely registered Adele’s weak hands on her hips, but as she did the vampire pushed out instinctively. How she longed to feel those fingers sink into her flesh. So warm. It nearly brought a smile to her engaged lips. It gave her an idea, as the hand by her waist strayed downwards. Sinking her fingernail’s into Adele’s rear. Catherine met Adele’s gaze, the fear in her golden eyes. Perrin at her mercy. It was all too satisfying. She had to remember, not to take too much from the beast, enough to incapacitate her. Catherine let go of the Adele’s head, her teeth firmly held in the lycan’s neck. She found herself reaching for Adele’s hand. Guiding it to the skin her tattered dress exposed. She simply wanted to feel her. Their hands never made it. Gunfire rang out, pain exploded among the back of her leg, a bullet searing in and out of her. Catherine cried out, harshly withdrawing her teeth from the lycan, wrapping both arms around Adele as she stumbled back.
A cold fire quickly spread throughout her body, bitter cold, every inch of her body stung, save for where her core, where the lycan’s blood run rampant. Catherine tried to stabilize, she felt so cold, Adele was now truly a furnace keeping her close. She held the girl close to her chest, as her leg gave out. Catherine spasmed, what had hit her? She knew the sting of silver, but that felt like the sun, hours spent underneath its rays. The lycan blood, it felt like it was combating the cold. She glanced down at Adele, and then beyond the beast, down the hall, another one of them, armed and shaking in his boots. “YOU!” She said, venom in her voice. Bowing her head again, bringing her lips to Adele’s skin, desperately licking her blood, each bit seem to invigorate her. Give life to her legs. As warmth returned to her limb, she met Adele’s gaze. “STAY.” She ordered, pushing the lycan aside and standing. Her foot gave in as she stumbled forward. The vampire glanced at her leg, the skin around the bullet wound was black like ash, it felt like it was moments away from turning to dust and getting blown away in the leg. But Adele’s blood, she could feel it there most prominently fighting the cold. Catherine pushed forward. Despite her dead leg, despite the fact she stumbled with every step, she was fast. Far faster than what the lowly lycan was accustomed to, he fired back at her. With her attention undivided, she easily avoided the incoming gunfire, collapsing to the side, falling and rising, moving inhumanely quick. Fear appeared in the beast eyes when he realized the gun was not helping. She closed in, diving forward as he took to his lycan form. Catherine barreled straight into the lycan’s chest, landing on top of him. One after another she threw her fist down into the beast. Did he know what he had done? What he had interrupted?

Okello's thoughts entering her mind at once brought hope and terror as the vampire held her close. Catherine hadn't seemed to notice her packmate yet, but, unsurprisingly, no amount of protest seemed to dissuade the woman. There was little Adele could do as the vampire held her tighter, drinking deep from her.
Her eyes darted quickly over to Okello before she shut them tight, offering a quick prayer. He had a gun. Adele knew her packmate was not comfortable wielding, or even being around, firearms. But that piece was, without a doubt, one of Pablo's desert eagles. "Okello, please... Please shoot her. It will be ok." The young lycan couldn't recall ever seeing her friend hold a gun before, much less fire one, but at this point she would gladly take a UV bullet if it meant getting Catherine on her backfoot. After being stabbed multiple times with silver in the last few days, Adele could say for a fact that the bullets she'd taken, while horrible, were her preferred punishment.
The gun went off, and Adele cringed as the vampire ripped her teeth away, shrieking in pain. Immediately, Perrin's heir tried bringing her arms up, but her limbs hadn't quite recovered from, and Catherine still held her tight. Groaning as she tried working the feeling back into her fingers and toes, the blonde flinched as the vampire brought her lips back to a wound, before stumbling with her.
Adele's golden eyes met the vampiress' hungry red glare as she shouted her order, pushing her away, but the lycan couldn't help but notice the damage the woman's leg had taken. With a quick, almost desperate burst of strength, the young woman pushed off her feet, reaching out to catch one of Catherine's ankles as she stumbled toward Okello. Even wounded, this vampire was quick; but her speed was still a fraction of what it was. Maybe it would be enough.
Forcing the change as she clambered to her feet, Adele was back in her bipedal wolf form in an instant, barreling toward Catherine and Okello. Fire shot through her shoulders, but even the pain only seemed to fuel her rage. Diving at the vampire, Adele tackled her, sending them both sprawling across the floor behind Okello. Sinking her teeth into the woman's arm, the young lycan tore viciously at Catherine, pressing a paw down hard on the vampire's chest to keep her down.

Lucia sped across the grounds, bringing her blade down upon a few more lycans. There was a temptation to clean and sheath her father's blade to join the fray using only her claws, yet ultimately she refrained. Evelyn didn't bother her much after her initial plea, but Lucia did not relish the idea of remaining here any longer than she had to.
Across the yard, the battle continued, and Lucia could hear the sounds of struggle coming even from within the mansion walls. As she began making her way closer to the building, she caught rapid movement approaching in her periphery; and soon enough Dane slipped a hand into hers. The hybrid met his gaze, grinning, and charged forth, toward their victim. With Dane at her side, something in her chest seemed to flutter; she felt invincible. Planting a foot square into an oncoming werewolf's chest, Lucia's kick sent it stumbling backward. Pressing forward, she nailed the beast to the ground underneath her blade, pulling it away only as the lycan shifted back down to its human form and died.
Looking around them, the size of the force that'd come out to meet them appeared significantly reduced. Perhaps this was the time. Bringing her fingers to her lips, Lucia whistled loud, holding the note for a few seconds to get everyone's attention. As much of the rabble died down, the girl took an end of her dress, wiping her blade clean of blood before sheathing it at her side. She looked over to Dane quickly, before turning her sight back toward the building and nearby grounds. "Pack." Lucia projected her voice, speaking loud, "Alena has been dethroned. I, Lucia Drusa Severa, am your new queen. It is my wish to unite the two immortal races and end the fighting; our place in this world is to rule over the fragile human race, not quarrel with each other. This visit serves as an offer, and a warning. Our assault ends here." She looked across the grounds to a few of her vampire subjects, before resuming. "It is my desire for you all to fall in line, pay fealty to me, your queen, and accept my peace. If you refuse and continue to struggle, however, there will be far more deaths suffered by the pack." Casting her crimson gaze toward the front of the mansion, Lucia let out another loud whistle, signaling the retreat.
