The Lycan base was established in 1796 and has since been the home to many Elder and younger Lycans alike. The building is three stories high with two levels of basement; the property, itself, extends for many acres, including a vast forest behind the mansion which leads to the neighboring Stockholm. The mansion fronts as a community home/boarding house in the Swedish community and is always busy. There are a total of 200 rooms used for the housing of Lycans, all of which are on the three above ground floors, many of which are occupied. Lycans, recently bitten, or well-experienced, are all welcome here. The Den can comfortably house over 500 Werewolves, but on any given night the average Lycan population is between 275 and 380 Lycans; nights of the Full Moon always being the most crowded.
Within the top three floors, there is a large cafeteria with kitchen, two libraries and a few offices for Lycans' leisure. There is a simple gym on the first floor, and larger gym, complete with a punching bag, located on the first level basement, near the stairs, available for anyone's use.
That being said, the rooms and hallways inside the base are many, and it is common for strangers and new 'pets' to get lost.
The building has been renovated over time, and while the outside of the building and top floors are standard issue concrete and steel beams, the basement is lined with thicker, sturdier walls, acting somewhat as a bomb shelter. Within the basement floors are kept the records and documents of the history and activities of the Lycans, and of some of its founding members. Many other dark and mysterious things are kept for safe keeping in the underbelly of the Lycan base, and codes and strategic keys and strength are required to access the lower basement, and certain hallways and rooms. Only a handful of Lycans are even aware of the Lower basement.
The forest behind the mansion is kept stocked with humans and deer for each full moon, but where exactly these humans come from only a few Elders really know.
A tall iron fence standing 15 high lines the entire bounds of the property, including through the forest, and there is a gate to the driveway. The driveway itself is a little over a kilometer before finally winding it's way to the entrance of the Den.
