Ahmad knew this time was going to come sooner or later, he knew he could no longer beat around the bushes about the biggest part of this whole story. He finally turned back to Anna and his confidence had been replaced with open heartedness. "Look, have you ever heard of the story of Dracula, or the big bad wolf? Well to some extent or the other, it's true. I may look 30 years old but I'm actually closer to being 2030 years old. I am a vampire, which is the most important reason why I had you meet me at night, and I would ask that you hear me out in full. I know it sounds insane, but we have been fighting the werewolves, or as we call them, lycans, for a long time, longer than anyone can imagine, since the dawn of man. I have seen things you cannot imagine, the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, the gladiators of the Roman Arena, Rome was my home for many... hundreds... thousands of years. And the lycans came through and nearly wiped us out, right now it's just me, my scout, and my leader. We need to fight off these monsters to save the human race, and in return, i give you a gift people have fought over for countless centuries. Immortality, and when I say that the enemy will hunt you down for even meeting with me, those vile evil lycans will likely rip you to pieces if you go out by yourself. The only reason you can be safe with me is because I am so old, and there for very powerful, and the young lycans know not to take me on directly. And to prove that I am what I say I am, and to give you proof of this world that I am apart of, I am going to show you something not many humans get to see. I need you to look into my eyes." He took half a step back and tried to think of his rage and hunger without letting it control him. He stared into Anna's eyes as his eyes turned from the dark brown they were currently to the bright fiery red of his true vampire form. He held his eyes as bright red for at least a few seconds, long enough for her to see the red in his eyes. He then regained control and his eyes went back to being his dark brown. "Now please don't be frightened, this is something not to be taken lightly, and you can now see why we are so selective in our deciding process, if you should decide to join us, I will be the one to turn you and train you. But I must warn you, if you decide not to join us, then your life would probably be better living underground or not even existent, because the lycans will go to no end to kill you or worse." Ahmad patiently awaited her response.

Plague. Vampire. Werewolves. Just this morning, Anna didn't believe she would find the courage to climb out of bed. Now, she was slapped in the face with things she considered could exist only within a T.V screen. Was she supposed to believe all that? Ahmad certainly seemed to think that she was. Anna, however, was not so easily pulled by the nose. "Are you fucking kidding me? Vampires? Werewolves? What's next, aliens and bears in diapers? Thanks, but no thanks. If you're expecting me to believe all that, you're even crazier than I thought." And she believed he was quite crazy as it is. He had stepped over the line though, telling such nonsense. To think she had nearly believed him. How stupid.
"Immortality? Is that what you call marijuana and pot nowadays? It was kind of you to offer, but now I'm outta here." Funniest thing is that a small part of her believed him. Normally, when people told such things, their lies would somehow be apparent through their body language, or some other things that would indicate the work of their imagination. But not this fellow. He seemed as serious as it gets. And what was it with the red eyes? What if he was speaking the truth? If so, she might not be able to live to see another day thanks to those Lycans he mentioned. If books and movies were any indication, Immortality meant you first had to die by way of a vampire's bite. That didn't sound very compelling. God, why couldn't it be fairies and unicorns instead of bloody vampires and smelly werewolves?
"Those red eyes of yours don't impress me. With the right contact lenses, I can do that too. Prove to me another way that you're actually a vampire, and I might accept your offer." If he says the truth about the vampire race, then chances are that he's telling the truth about the Lycans as well. If that's truly the case, then she won't have a choice but to join him in order to survive. "You can heal like super fast, right? Show me. I also hear you've got fangs like some saber-tooth. Those will sure earn you some trust points." She slowly took a step away from him, ready for... well, she had no idea what she was preparing herself for.

Ahmad was at first enraged by her slap in the face comments. When she finally changed her tone about the red eyes. He finally found out that she was ready to listen and learn. "You can heal like super fast, right? Show me. I also hear you've got fangs like some saber-tooth. Those will sure earn you some trust points." When Anna said that, he was ready to show her, but how. Ahmad began his demonstration by standing back half a step and said "Well, the length of a vampires teeth is a common misconception, people think our teeth is supposed to be like a foot longer than the rest, at least that's what movies say, but our teeth grow to only about three inches longer than normal, just long enough to pierce the skin. And as for the healing, you were right on that part." He rolled his sleeve back on his arm, and when he showed his top teeth, his fangs grew to the appropriate length and he sank his teeth into his arm, biting it. He only kept his teeth in there for a moment, he then pulled his teeth out and his fangs returned to normal. He then watched as his blood started flowing from his arm. He walked over to Anna and held his arm a bit closer to her. "Now just watch, this doesn't take long." His arm just began to rapidly heal, and his arm was back to normal with in a matter of seconds. He looked back up to her, rolled down his sleeve and said "I told you I was telling the truth." He then leaned on the ledge they were standing next to and said "Look, I know this is not an easy decision, what I know is that you will experience things no one will ever experience. Live like no one you know has ever lived before. I can't promise things will be super easy, but you will be able to do things no one else you know is able to do."

Santa Claus, The Tooth Fairy, Vampires. Anna once placed all under one and the same category: Craziness. Now, however, she had undeniable proof of the existence of the fanged blood-suckers. What's next? Santa Claus falling down her chimney? Regardless, it had been made painfully clear that this fellow was no fake. The puncture wounds on his arm were real, she saw them with her own two eyes. His fangs... they weren't made of plastic. The blood that flowed from his arm was no juice, either. Now that the stage of believing was over and done with, Anna was presented with a new dilemma. Joining the vampires meant she had to die first, and pretty much give up everything she had ever known and loved in the universe to fight a war she didn't even knew existed a few seconds ago. Refusing to join, however, could mean she wouldn't be alive for much longer with the opposing race chasing down the competition. Either way, she dies. Only one of the options, however, offers something after death.
As awful and unpleasant as she found both options to be, her human instinct of survival didn't leave much room for thinking. The choice was obvious. All she had to do now was... die. "Hope you realize that if something was ever to go wrong in my new 'Life', you would be the first person I will blame." Surprisingly enough, her words came out smoothly and calmly. Better still, a frustrated smirk formed at the edge of her lips.
There was a brighter side to it all. At least she wouldn't have to travel all over the world looking for a job, nor will she have to worry any longer about leaving the safety of her home late at night. There are also the aforementioned perks, such as inhumane strength, regeneration, and nice salary. "And you better not treat me as a servant. If you think that by turning me, you will suddenly own my life. Think again." She spoke with fierce courage before taking one step towards him and looking straight into those vampiric eyes of his. "Make it quick."

He approached her slowly as he looked into her eyes. He moved in close to her, but instead of biting her, he kissed her. He didn't hold it long, but he let it go quite quickly. He was still looking into her eyes and smiled. "Don't worry, you definitely won't be treated as a servant, no one vampire really is a servant. But we can't do this here, it's too public, too many people watching. We need to go somewhere more private, I kissed you mostly just in case we are being watched, making them think we are lovers. But partially because I wanted to." He smiled, and grabbed her hand lightly and looked into her eyes. I have an apartment I use for temporary stays here in Paris. We can do this there, but I will let you know now about this process. It's not going to feel good. What's going to happen is when we get back to the apartment where it's out of the public eye. I will drain you of half your blood, then I will put a mouth full of my blood into your mouth. My blood contains a venom that will feel like a burning sensation throughout your body. And that will complete the process. I will be with you and you will be staying at my apartment for the night, to protect you, because this night of your transformation is when you are at your weakest. And also to protect the humans from you, because when it's over you will be hungry. I know this may sound like quite a bit more to take in, but I will tell you more once this process is over. If you want to gather a few things that you will need, meet me at this address as soon as possible. For your own safety." Ahmad scribbled down the address on a card and gave it to her, looking around he gave her one more quick kiss and said, "Get there as soon as possible, do not delay, my scout will watch over you from a distance, but if you are quick and I mean quick. You shouldn't have any trouble, and my scout can handle most things." Ahmad started to walk away, when he pulled out another card, scribbled down his cell phone number and gave it to her. "If you get scared or think someone is following you, call me and I will be there before you know it. But please be quick." Then Ahmad started to walk away to the apartment.

Normally. Normally, Anna would kick this fellow where it hurts the most for stealing a kiss he was not permitted to take, but you must agree, this is about as far from normal as it gets. She had a lot to take in, and to be honest, she thought that his kiss was part of the ritual, since he didn't seem like the kind of inappropriate person to do something like that without at least asking for permission first. Oh well, if he thought that her lack of resistance was any indication of how she felt about him taking what he wants from her, he had better think again, because she won't be so submissive the next time around.
She then took the card from him and stared at it for a moment longer than needed, mostly because she didn't feel like looking up at the man at that moment. Something was telling her that he isn't as kind and gentle as he made himself seem. Besides that, if he hadn't picked Anna as his victim of the night, her life would have been left unchanged. In her book, hat was reason enough to give him a fair share of attitude. He's old, wise and strong, after all, it won't kill him. Thank goodness he was nice enough to let her pick up her stuff first, because she seriously needed to change out of this dress as soon as possible. Vampire girl in a crimson red dress. Such horror-movie material. Hopefully that blasted vampire scout won't be staying in eyesight for 24/7. She may be joining them, but there still were the gender boundaries and privacy limitations, even if the Big Boss wasn't all too aware of them, apparently.
Anna got off the Eiffel Tower quickly, then sped home. Once there, dropped herself on the couch for several minutes. Only then did the full force of her decision smacked her face. God, she was going to die. WILLINGLY! As she had always suspected, Anna Carter had finally lost her marbles. Insane as it was, there was no turning back. It was either life as a walking corpse, or eternal death six feet underground. Horrible, yes, but she preferred to still remain among the living. So, after throwing the red dress she was wearing onto the floor like a piece of garbage, she took one lengthy shower, and then changed into more comfortable clothing; Jeans, tank top, and most importantly, a jacket to hide whatever marks and bruises she may acquire tonight. Finally, she took a taxi to the address on the card, carrying nothing but a single backpack full of personally precious items and some articles of clothing.

Ahmad waited outside as the taxi rolled up and stopped just outside, he opened the door and let her out. He then took her by the hand and led her up to the apartment, when he got to the door, he opened it and he went inside leading Anna in. It was a simple apartment, nothing too fancy, a single bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen connected to a living room with a small TV in it.
Ahmad retook a hold of Anna's hand and sat her down on the bed in his bedroom. "Now Just lean your head a bit to the side, just so I can see your neck. I'm not going to lie, this is going to hurt a bit." He moved in close to Anna, looking at her neck. His eyes turned a fiery red and his fangs extended to their full length. He slowly and carefully sank his teeth into Anna's neck.
This process was slow, he tried to drink her slowly as to not lose control and drain her dry. He got enough to be half then he released his bite from her neck. Then he looked at his wrist, rolled back his sleeve, "Now for my painful part," was all that he said to himself, as his fangs were still long and his eyes still red, he bit his own wrist. His eyes were forced shut with pain as he bit his own wrist, and then he quickly released his bite from his wrist, then quickly putting his bleeding wrist over Anna's mouth, letting her drink all of the blood that fell from his wrist until his wrist healed. He then slowly lowered Anna until she was laying back on the bed. He wasn't sure if she could hear him, but he pulled up a chair next to her, and held her and as he said, "I'm sorry, but now comes the painful part." He was unsure if she could even hear him or if she was unconscious, either way now the deed had been done, she was now a vampire. And Ahmad was not going to leave her side through her first night.

Everything happened so darn quickly that Anna didn't even have time to react. To calm down, her mind had traveled as far back in time as her memory would allow, to a place much better than this. It all seemed like one of those theater plays she participated in, where a powerful hero would save the damsel in distress from a frightening monster. Only difference was that the hero and monster, this time, were one and the same face. The vampire may have saved her life from the less forgiving werewolves, but he had still introduced monsters into Anna's life. Monsters that little girls only saw in the nightmares or darkest corners of their closets. Now, for Anna, those creatures became a reality, and there was nothing quite as scary as becoming one of them.
Anna didn't let her fear show. Instead, she covered it up with courage, determination, and plain feistiness. "I'm ready." Was all she could say before the entire ordeal began. First, he bit her neck, which was rather unpleasant, to say the very least. At the beginning, she subconsciously held on to his arm, but as more blood was drained from her system, she began weak. Too weak to hold on. Fortunately, she managed to keep herself in a sitting position long enough for him to replenish her blood supply with his own. That didn't taste good at all, and she was sure she would vomit several times, but she didn't.
Once it was done, she no longer possessed the strength to keep up, and simply collapsed down. Before passing out, she felt pain like no other. Worst part is that it wasn't like a slap which leaves only one little spot in pain. Whatever this man did made her feel as if molten lava was flowing through her veins, burning every single cell from inside out. If she had any doubts about this whole thing being fact or fiction, there were none any more. The pain was far too real to ignore, and soon she passed out.

As she lay there on the bed, unconscious from the pain. Ahmad decided it was best to let her get some rest, for it must have been a painful ordeal, and Ahmad's mind went back to when the dark man from his past turned him all those years ago. That man that Ahmad admired and feared.
He decided that she was going to need rest, so he decided to leave her sleeping the the room and he would be just outside, he turned on the TV and was watching the local, news. There had been another fatal dog attack in Paris, but Ahmad knew it was the lycans, Ahmad knew that getting a person to feed on would draw to much attention, Ahmad went to the fridge where he kept a supply of blood he stole from an blood donor site near the hospital in Paris. He took one bag out and poured some into a wine glass and put the rest into the fridge. He went back over and sat down on the couch, sipping the blood. He muted the TV and pulled out his cell phone, "Hey Dane, just leaving you and update message, I have Anna with me, she has been turned. She is sleeping now, but I promised her she would be under my protection and my training, so I politely ask that you leave me to train her and protect her in her new life. But Just letting you know we will be spending the rest of the night and day tomorrow here. She is sleeping now, but she will come to in a couple of hours. Right, so that's it for now, bye." Ahmad hung up the phone and resumed watching TV waiting for Anna to wake up from her transformation.

As far as Anna knew, she could have been sleeping for a few mere minutes, several long hours, or a couple of day. She had no way of knowing. When she finally woke up, the incredible pain was gone, and to her surprise, she felt rather... fine, except for the feeling of emptiness, like when you're hungry and you feel your stomach is empty, only now it wasn't just the stomach, it was more like every single vein. It wasn't too horrible, though, not yet anyway, but she decided it would be far better to play it safe rather than be sorry later. She wouldn't want to die from starvation on her first day as a vampire, right? Probably not. She rose from the bed, clearly hating not being in her own bed, and placed a hand on the nearest wall. For some odd reason, her body still felt like it was sleeping. Perhaps it had something to do with the hunger she was feeling.
She didn't yet notice that her lips, as well as most of the surrounding area of the mouth, was still covered in blood. Ahmad's blood. As luck would have it, part of the jacket she was wearing was also smeared with blood. Damn it. She stumbled into the living room and noticed him sitting in front of the T.V, sitting there like nothing had happened. It kind of angered her that, after inflicting unbearable pain on her, he was just chilling on the sofa watching T.V. It pissed her off even further that she couldn't do a damn thing about it. What's done is done, though. No point in crying over it.
"I need food." She announced in a demanding tone. She watched him without a shred of kindness or admiration her gaze held before. Now her eyes held only hatred and disgust. She thought she understood what she was signing up for before agreeing to the man's offer, but after what she had just gone through, she realized that she knew nothing of those monsters. Sadly, it was too late now. She was one of them, and there was nothing to be done about it. Well, almost nothing. There still was one way out, but she wasn't ready to resort to it just yet.
