Ahmad turned around and saw Anna, he rose to greet her. He walked over, grabbing his wine glass and headed to the fridge. "Well, I guess this is a good place to start, you can't eat food, it's like a poison to us, if you accidently eat food, throw it up or die. I know that is one unfortunate set back, I haven't tasted food in over two thousand years." He reached into the fridge, pulled out the same bag of blood, and poured some into another wine glass, he refilled his own, finishing the bag, and tossed the bag into the garbage. He grabbed both wine glasses, he went over to Anna and handed her one of the glasses. "Here, this will be your source of life and strength. This is the only thing you can have as a source of nutrition. You can have animal blood, but that cannot hold you indefinitely, you will need human blood at some point. I don't know if you have noticed, but your eyes will stay red for a while, that takes time to return to normal. Most new vampires keep the redeye for up to a few years. But eventually it will return to normal. And we will have to watch you around humans now, young vampires have a hard time controlling their blood lust. We will cover each new aspect as the need arises. But the biggest thing I will tell you now is that you need to avoid sunlight, it will kill you, burn you alive." Ahmad turned and started to walk away from Anna. "I'm sorry, this must be incredibly hard for you, and you must hate me right now for the pain I've caused you. But as time goes, the reward is so much greater, I will tell you, you were being considered on both side, the lycans wanted you before I even spoke to you. I just heard from my scout, they wanted you on their side, to take over the world, and become a dog like them. "
Ahmad looked out the window, it was about 4:00 A.M now, the city was still ablaze with the city lights. Ahmad turned around to look back at Anna, beautiful Anna, she looked like the most beautiful vampire Ahmad had ever seen. "I also need to apologize for another reason. One reason I turned you was out of selfishness. I knew the lycans wanted you, and that would have meant your death or worse, I also would never have gotten the chance to tell you something I have been thinking about since I met you at the cafe. I think you are beautiful, and I knew if the lycans got you, I would never have been able to tell you that, and well I don't know how to ask this, seeing as I have been pretty much alone for over two thousand years. So I guess what I am asking is, will you go out with me? Maybe see a movie or something, because I want to be more than just your teacher or mentor, I want to be more to you than that." Ahmad turned away, putting his hands on the window. He made his hands into fists and hit the window lightly with his fists. "Stupid, stupid, you think that she cares now about that?" He muttered to himself as he stood over by the window. "You know what that was stupid of me, I feel like an idiot right now on your first night. Since there is only one bed, I'm letting you have that, I've set up a sleeping bag in the corner. I also have this." Ahmad grabbed a curtain to cover the bedroom, "Here this will be a divider. I'll just be over here for the day." He covered the curtains to the window and walked over to his sleeping bag, took his suit coat and tie off, and started unbuttoning his dress shirt. "Good day Anna, get some sleep, tomorrow we move, Paris isn't safe." Then he turned back to his sleeping bag, kind of hoping she would say something.

There was just no stopping him. Conveniently, he left all details about most side effects of the transformation until after she had turned, instead of explaining it to her before she made the decision. Talk about selfish. Next, he put her through that hell, after which she felt completely weak, hungry, and most of all, enraged. Meanwhile, he tried making a victim out of himself by convincing her that he had a long, difficult, lonely life for over two thousand years. Was she supposed to feel sorry for him? Apparently so, because now he was asking her out on a date, after stripping her of her life and everything dear to her. How insane can this person be? Anna had a clear answer for that question, but instead of sharing it with him and risking it, she silently stared at him, hard and furious.
"I don't know what you've been thinking there, but you've clearly hit your head one too many times. Either you fulfill your end of the bargain and guide me through the life you've dragged me into, or I'll just be on my way." Whatever fear clouded her mind before was certainly gone by now, or at least pushed to the very back of her brain. The worst that this man could do to her is kill her - once more - and that may not be such a bad thing, as it seems. After all, thanks to him, she can no longer go back to her old life and forget about this whole story about vampires and werewolves. She was now a fucking part of that demented story.
Staring down at the glass of blood she was handed, Anna couldn't help but wince in repulsion. Disgusting, yet so alluring. The sight of it nearly twisted Anna's gut upside down, but at the same time, her brain was telling her that the crimson fluid in that glass was now the single most important thing in her entire life. She slowly brought it to her lips and drank a small drop. Even though it was just a little bit, she could practically feel that drop pumping her whole system to life. She then poured all the contents of the glass into her mouth and swallowed. That's when she first felt that incredibly feeling. Strength, fearlessness, power. It felt like she had been going steady to the gym for a whole year non-stop. She felt more powerful than ever, but with it came a bunch of new problems, like how not to kill someone accidentally?
"I'm not going to be your precious playing doll. You wanted your very own sidekick? You got one, but don't mistake this for friendship, love, or anything of the kind. I'm in this mess simply because I've chosen the better of two evils. She then dropped the glass she held to the floor, letting it shatter to pieces before smiling mischievously at him and extending her arm to point a finger straight at him. "You may have taken my life from me, but you won't be taking anything else." And with that said, she headed straight for the bathroom.

Ahmad watched as she walked away, his eyes grew bright red with rage as she took his gift of life and immortality, not to mention salvation from the lycans and spat it in his face. Yes there were downsides, but the advantages were so much more in Ahmad's mind. He turned and in his rage punched the wall going straight through to the other side. He then pulled his hand back because it started to burn, he got a painting off of a wall and covered it up. "This is going to be a long day." He said to himself, realizing that the future he had for him and Anna was probably not going to happen. He turned away from the wall, "Please Ahmad, don't kill her, you need her." He muttered to himself. She doesn't realize the great risks I took to bring her here, to turn her, to even come to this lycan infested city, she doesn't realize that the troubles of being turned into a vampire are nothing compared to fighting a lycan. Part of me feels like I should have just killed her and drained her dry. Why did I have to fall in love with a human? Why do I do these things, why do I trust anyone? I hate humanity, I hate lycans, I hate everything. Ahmad thought to himself, he paced back and forth across the room, Ahmad was tired, Ahmad was mad, he knew he needed sleep. So Ahmad turned around, "Fine.... I'm sorry... you are right.... this must be a lot to take in..." He felt those words come out like a spider crawling up his throat, he nearly wanted to vomit after saying those words. Calming himself down even more lest he break through the door and snap Anna's neck on the spot, "Good day, get some sleep, you'll need it." Ahmad took of his shirt and pants, grabbed some sweat pants out of his dresser, then climbed into his sleeping bag and tried to go off to sleep. "I've sure got my hands full with this one." Was the last thing he said before trying to sleep.

Well, maybe she did say a bit too much. After all, this fellow was somewhat nice, and at least gave her a choice. Something the opposing team might not have given her. Still, he expected way too much from a person who had their world flipped upside down moments ago. Worst thing of all in this entire transformation was that the woman could no longer see her reflection in the mirror, which became tragically clear once she entered the bathroom and stared at point-blank ranger into the mirror. Ahmad had better come up with something good to make up for such a tremendous loss. He did mention neat perks, but there's very little in the world that could replace a good morning greeting from your own reflection early in the morning. Oh God, speaking of mornings, does her new need for blood means that she can never again have a cup of coffee with pancakes? Ahmad sure better come up with something good, and fast.
Washing her face and doing what she could to straighten her messy her without a mirror, Anna had to hold on to the very last thread of sanity to keep herself in one piece and not burst into tears like the frightened little girl she felt. Perhaps it was all for the best. Maybe this was her place in the world? She couldn't find another place to fit for over twenty years, and now she had found someone who considered her special somehow. He was a vampire and wanted to go with her to the movies, which was an entirely new level of creepy, but then, it was far better than what the movies show about vampires. At least he doesn't sparkle like a fairy princess nor does he act like a rabid animal. Maybe, just maybe, it wouldn't be such a bad idea to give him, and them, a chance. After all, she lived with her parents for eighteen years. Vampires couldn't be much worse.
Exiting the bathroom, Anna threw one brief glace toward Ahmad before heading back to the bedroom. She was quite certain that she wouldn't be able to sleep, but it couldn't hurt to try, right? She cuddled into the very corner, avoiding any stains of blood that formed during her transformation, and closed her eyes. She was going to have a long day - or night- ahead of her.

When night finally came around 8:00 P.M, Ahmad's alarm clock on his phone went off awaking him. He rubbed his eyes, trying to wake up. He arose out of his sleeping bag, looked through his dresser, pulled out an undershirt, walked over to his closet, pulled out a white dress shirt, and a grey suit. He then proceeded to the bathroom to shower. As the hot water ran over his head and body, he tried to think of where to go next. He knew they couldn't stay in Paris, but he knew that Anna may not yet be ready to run as great of a distance seeing as this is her first full night, and she may attract to much attention by killing a human. So he quickly finished up his shower and got dressed with the clothes he had prepared. He then brushed his teeth, following the usual routine, possibly the only human part about him left. After exiting the bathroom, he went to the fridge, grabbed a second bag of blood, poured himself some in a wine glass, and quickly digested it. He then checked his cell phone to see if there were any messages for himself. He put his cell phone away, walked over to the bedroom door, and knocked. "Anna, if you slept, I need you to wake up. We begin your training, but we will need to move soon. But I need you to awake." Ahmad then walked back over to the fridge to pour himself a second glass of blood and drink as he waited for her.

To her surprise, Anna did fall asleep and got some down time despite all that had happened. Even so, when she woke up to the knock on the door, she wasn't any more happy than before, although certainly less aggressive. Which is good, since they are apparently going to be training now. She set up on the bed and looked around the room. The room where her old life had ended and new one began. Kind of odd to make a personal landmark out of some weird guy's bedroom, but at least it wasn't a cemetery or some other stereotypical place for Vampires. In fact, this room was rather cozy, though she still would have given anything just to be in her own bed, under her own warm covers.
Sliding off the bed, Anna reached for the backpack she brought along with her and dug inside. From there, she picked a hairband, toothbrush and paste, and sweatpants. With those items held dearly, she quietly traveled from the bedroom to the neighboring bathroom, where she changed from jeans to sweatpants, then brushed her teeth, and finally tied her hair into a ponytail. Once she threw her stuff back into the room, she joined Ahmad in the living area and patiently watched him. "I'm ready to see what's so good about being a vampire." She spoke at last with fierce determination, and a little less hatred this time.

Ahmad looked at Anna as she exited to the bedroom, she was finally ready to learn. Ahmad pondered for a moment, trying to figure where to start, trying to think of what first to start on with all the opportunities of being a vampire, where to start? "Well, I guess since I have told you about some of the bad things, maybe it's time I start giving some good things." Ahmad paced back and forth trying to think. "Well, I guess the first good thing to tell you is that you will never age, scar, grow old, or even get sick again, unless you eat human food, that would make you sick. Your body is now technically frozen in time, so you will look this way forever. Which is how I look the way I do at the age of 2009." Ahmad paced back and forth of what to say next,. "Next, your muscles are now super enhanced, you now have the strength of what some people might call a super hero, you can jump incredible distances and heights, you can fall from great heights and be okay, and you can run much faster and much longer than any human being. Our strength and speed is only comparable to a lycan now." Ahmad looked out the window, and saw a tall building across the street, he looked down and saw a window ledge long enough for him to stand on and luckily not to many on the street below. Ahmad opened up the window, and stepped on to the ledge, he looked back to Anna. "This is what I mean." Ahmad jumped up and flew through the sky until he landed on the tall building across the street from the apartment, the building was almost twice the height of the apartment building. He looked down at the window, he pulled out his cell phone and called Anna, "Come Anna, you can do this too, your training will begin up here."

A woman's worst enemy is age. With its elimination, being a vampire didn't sound so bad anymore. She'll be staying twenty four years old forever and ever, young and lively and never have to deal with such problems as white hair, bad skin, and shaky hands. In addition, scars will not dwell and her body will not be ruined from inside out by a pathetic illness. If that wasn't enough, her natural abilities are enhanced, finally allowing her to confront human beings much larger, like certain bullies. Still, with all these truly marvelous advantages, the downfalls were still great. Basically, they balance each other out. Maybe Mr. Ahmad wasn't bluffing after all. Really, who wouldn't want to jump from building to building like spider-man?
After witnessing his unreal leap, Anna was less than willing to follow. She was a vampire now, true, but she was still in her right mind. The jump seemed like a million miles, and in case of failure, the drop that awaited didn't look very user-friendly. "Did I mention that I hate you?" She answered back into the phone before hanging up. She stared at the destination, and was almost ready to give up until she realized that she didn't really have much to lose. Besides, if he can do it, why wouldn't she be able to? Taking a deep breath, she prepared herself for what may have been the craziest act in her life.
Before jumping though, she dug through her pockets and found a bubble gum, which she popped into her mouth, and then... and then she jumped. Despite the enormous distance, the flight took like a second or two. Of course, she didn't quite reach where he did. Instead, she just barely managed to reach that ledge, and grab a hold of it. Normally, she would need some assistance to climb up, but with her newly found powers, she easily climbed up and joined Ahmad, after which she blew the gum she was chewing into a balloon and popped it at his face. "Heh, maybe I don't need a teacher after all."

He watched her as she made the leap up to the top of the building he was standing on and listened as she made her smart-ass remark. "Yes you still do." He walked over to a giant AC unit on top of the building, probably for a business, he wasn't planning on them staying there all to long so he thought, Why not? He grabbed the bottom of the AC unit and without much work he ripped it out of the ground and held it above his head with two hands barely trying. "As you can see, we have unmatched natural strength, you will become stronger with age, and I have had a while. Many things will come with age and training. But for now, you still have strength no human can match, but I am still a lot stronger than you." He turned towards the horizon leaving the city, and he pondered what should be his next move, almost forgetting he was still holding the AC unit, he threw it and it flew through the air for quite a distance, before hitting another building with a bang, almost destroying the building but only damaging the roof. "We need to move, this city is infested with lycans, and they can smell a newly turned vampire, as I can sense the getting close to finding us. You may be strong, but you wouldn't last long against a lycan without combat training. We need to get you out of the city now, so we can train you away from all these lycans." He was still looking out towards the horizon trying to see if he can think of where to go to. "Let me make a quick call." Ahmad pulled out his cell phone, "Dane, it's me, we need a place to stay, to train, you have any places in mind?" He hung up his phone after he finished his message. "Now Anna, one thing about lycans, you can sense them, but you may not yet know what sense is you sensing lycans, it's quite easy really. It's the dog smell you can smell as vampires also have all their senses enhanced."

Oh, hey, now she can smell shit from twice as far. How incredibly wonderful. "You're maybe physically stronger, but let's face it, sunshine, you've got your weak spot which I've already witnessed." She commented back on his remark of being stronger than her. It may be true, but she wasn't planning on killing him anyway, he still had to things to show her and lessons to teach. He was still useful, so to speak. "So where are we going? Not to the movies, I hope." Her attitude had drastically changed after sleeping and drinking some blood, and after she had realized that she is pretty much stuck in this vampire world. So, she figured, it would be best if she just did the most with what she had, and for the moment she only had vampirism. Why not enjoy it? It's much better than crying over it.
When she looked down to the street below, she could almost make out the faces of the people walking there. Her hunger for blood then kicked in, and she immediately looked up. Having fun with her new super powers was one thing, but killing someone was something she most definitely was not ready for. Maybe she won't ever be. "So what happens next? Do we run away and hide?Do we fight? Do we do anything at all?" She had lots and lots of questions, but for now she just needed to know - even if not entirely - what her future holds. If she was to become a vampire chick out hunting for werewolves like in the movies, she would prefer to know that now and have a chance to prepare for it.
