Ahmad watched as Anna dropped to the ground shortly after the lycan did. He ran to her side to check on her and then gently in the most caring manner possible, he picked her up and set her in the car. He closed her door and then went around back to the car, opened up the trunk. He pulled out a gallon of gas and a lighter. He poured the gasoline over the corpses of the two lycans and then he lit them both ablaze. He then went to the front dash of his car from the drivers side, he pulled out a cig and lit it, using the lighter instead of the corpses like he usually liked to, he decided that it might creep Anna out a bit more. As he stood looking at the corpses burn as his cigarette burned, after a while he tossed it on to the corpse and entered the car. He started it and pulled away, as they were on their way back to the base. He turned to talk to Anna, "Hey, you did well today, most new vampires don't get away without something to show for it. But you killed your first lycan tonight, and that's something to be proud of. Now for the rest of the night, we can do whatever you want to do to celebrate your first victory. No more training tonight, and you are just about done with your initial training. We may be going for an assignment soon, but don't worry about that tonight, tonight we celebrate, your choice." As he continued on with the drive towards the base wondering if Anna was going to choose somewhere else.

For some reason, Anna did not feel victorious. She had been dragged into this life pretty much against her will, and that Lycan she killed could have been no different. She did what she had to do in order to survive, of course, but was it really worth it? She just wasn't sure. If there was a God somewhere up there, he or she wasn't caring about the business happening on Earth, or just didn't want to do anything about it. It just didn't seem fair that the life of one person has to be taken away to preserve the life of another. Did Vampires and Lycans really had to kill each other. If so, why? "Sorry, I can't be proud of what I've just done." She replied almost silently, before turning to look at Ahmad. "What's the difference between that monster and myself? He feeds just like we do." She then sank into the car's seat and watched the road ahead in complete silence, letting the day's events sink in.

Ahmad felt sympathy for Anna, he wanted to make it okay, he wanted to make her feel better. But he didn't know how, "Look I know that I can't really say anything to make it easier, your first kill is always hard to comprehend, I will tell you, my first kill was extremely hard, because it was my parents. For some reason them and everyone else thought me to be some sort of abomination, even before I was a vampire. I killed them to save my own life, they were going to slaughter me in my sleep. Now I know my story won't make your first kill easier, but over time they will get easier. Once you see what they have done, you may come to terms with things. I used to live in Rome, and they destroyed us in Rome, we used to have a lot more numbers, if they were alive then you may have been left alone. But I'm telling you that because of them, we have been almost entirely wiped out." Ahmad turned back to focus on the road, "Whatever you want to do tonight, get your mind off of things. Let me know and we will go where ever you want, with in reason of course."

When your mentor tells you that his parents had once tried to kill him, you begin to wonder why did they decided to do so. When later on he tells you that he killed his parents, you begin to wonder what he might do to you should you step onto his bad side. With those in mind, you start to doubt or even regret ever joining him. So by the end of that thought process, you don't feel any better than you felt several minutes prior, if not worse. Of course, he didn't have a choice then, but neither do those Lycans. Instinctively, they see Vampires as threats, and just like most predators in the wild, they seek to annihilate that threat, whether to protect their own hides or their loved ones. Since Ahmad had decided to murder two Lycans simply for practice, it's rather difficult to have the same kind of understanding and compassion towards Vampires. Being a Vampire, Anna felt as if she was the big bad wolf.
"Is silver dangerous to us? Would a simple silver necklace burn my neck?" She suddenly asked, completely disregarding his generous offer. In all honesty, as hard as it was to kill - both physically and emotionally - she didn't want it to get easier. A conflict may have broken out centuries ago between a certain vampire and a Lycan, but that didn't mean Anna had to follow and fight a battle that isn't hers to begin with. She may be forced to kill them in the future, but that didn't mean she couldn't feel sorry for each and every one of them. Of course, she first has to learn to kill them, and that meant a whole lot of practice and training. "And I want to go train. Start with shooting." She demanded. Time for play, is over.

Such anger, such resentment, and it wasn't towards the lycans. That part didn't make sense to him. But Anna, she wasn't in Rome when Rome fell, he was there technically speaking when Rome fell because of humans. And he was there when Rome fell again because of the lycans. He didn't really care when it fell the first time because he was in hibernation, now when Rome fell to the lycans, Ahmad lost a great many friends and comrades. That's when the line was drawn for Ahmad, but Anna wasn't there so she couldn't understand, not yet anyways. "Okay, I'll take you back to the base to train if you want. But I won't be able to join you, I think Dane might have another assignment for me. Besides, with your initial training over, any additional training is on your own incentive." They finally reached the base, Ahmad exited the car after turning it off, and he started to walk into the house. "Oh and to answer your question about silver, yes it does hurt us, but not as much as the lycans." He walked into the main room, hopnig Anna was following, "But I believe my work is done for now, if you have any additional questions, feel free to ask. But your initial training is over, it finished when you killed your first lycan." He scribbled down his phone number on a piece of paper and put it on a table in the main room. "Should you need me, here's my number. I know there is nothing I can say that will make you the happiest person in the world. But other than certain assignments and missions. You are pretty much free to do what you want." And with that Ahmad went down stairs to feed.

It was too bad that silver is a pain, but that subject wasn't very important. Anna followed Ahmad into the mansion and picked up the piece of paper he left behind with his phone number. Only then did she realize that she wasn't even carrying her phone, and didn't see it ever since her arrival. It was probably somewhere in her room, but being the kind of girl who hated going out of home without a mobile, she immediately hurried to her room to search for it. It took a few minutes to find, but eventually she found it in the back pocket of the jeans she had dropped on the floor before heading to the shower. She put it on the nightstand by the bed, and - without changing out of her training clothes - dropped onto the bed. There was so much to think about, so much to figure out, and there hasn't been any time for any of it. Hopefully, from now on, Anna would have more time for herself as Ahmad promised. Maybe then she would be able to somehow come to an agreement with her monstrous half. Though she doubted she would be able to come to terms with it any time soon. Luckily, the thought didn't linger, as she quickly fell into a deep sleep. Since she hasn't drank any blood, she was extremely tired and exhausted, thus speeding her journey back to La La Land.

As Ahmad was about to go begin his descent down the stairs to the feeding room, he turned back to see Anna run up the stairs to her room. He watched as the woman he first saw as a human who would be a promising candidate to become a vampire. Now he saw her as a vampire who may not have everything down yet, but she definitely was a vampire ready to handle herself should the need arise. But his time with her was over for now, he may have been proud of all Anna went through, but you would never see it on his face. He began is descent down the stairs when he heard her door close. He found a woman and began to feed. Not to long after him starting did he finish. He wiped his jaw and made his way back up to his room. He shed his clothing and jumped in the shower, letting the hot water calm his mind so he could think about what to do next. Anna was no longer his priority now that her initial training was done. He got out of the shower, there were only two hours left till morning, and he began to feel tired, he needed to rest, but before he did, he pulled out his phone and called Dane to leave a message. "Dane, Anna's training is done and we need to begin moving forward with our plans. But I need to know what the next step is. We should meet up and discuss this in person. Call me back when you can." And with that Ahmad went to bed and rested well knowing that Anna's training was over.
